The Colorado Rockies are amused by anyone who believes they are stealing their opponents’ signs during games at Coors Field this season.
Colorado’s home-road splits are incredible. The Rockies lead the majors by a wide margin in just about every statistical category during home games. However, there is a big drop-off when it comes to their numbers on the road despite playing in an equal number of games.
That has led to some people believing the Rockies are up to something, such as stealing signs, during home games.
On the KNBR morning show—via MLB.com’s Thomas Harding—before the Rockies hosted the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow let it be known that he thinks there’s something going on in Denver. The broadcaster has seen Colorado star Troy Tulowitzki’s home numbers and can’t believe them.
“I swear he’s getting signs,” Krukow said of Tulowitzki. “There is no way you can hit like that, for this long. I mean, if you hit .571, that’s for a weekend or a week. But you don’t do it for six weeks. That’s insane.”
On Thursday, Tulowitzki responded in the best way possible:

Of course, the Rockies shortstop isn’t the only member of the team to address any claims made against the team. Colorado manager Walt Weiss “admitted” that his team does have an unfair advantage:
