As has been speculated since Curtis Granderson went down with a groin injury, the Yankees appear set to activate outfielder Greg Golson for tonight’s game against the Orioles. Golson has played 21 games in center field for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, hitting just .253/.289/.430. He projects to be a pinch runner and late-inning defensive replacement during his stay with the big league club.
There has been no word on who the Yankees will be sending down, but all indications would point towards relief pitcher Mark Melancon .
