Here’s a look at the unheralded players who played well yesterday.

 

Bronson Arroyo, Cincinnati Reds (pictured)
Arroyo gave up one run on five hits in seven innings to improve to 6-3 with a 4.53 ERA. He even had three RBIs in the game.


Ramon Santiago, Detroit Tigers
Santiago went four for four with three runs and an RBI to raise his average to .262.


Jeremy Bonderman, Detroit Tigers
Bonderman gave up two runs on five hits with seven Ks in seven innings to improve to 3-4 with a 4.06 ERA.


Randy Wells, Chicago Cubs
Wells got a no-decision despite allowing two runs in seven innings with six Ks. He lowered his ERA to 4.92.


Dallas Braden, Oakland A’s
Braden also got a no-decision. He allowed one run in six innings, lowering his ERA to 3.78.


Marco Scutaro, Boston Red Sox
Scutaro went two for four with three RBIs. He’s hitting .289 with 22 RBIs.


Kyle Kendrick, Philadelphia Phillies
Kendrick gave up one run on four hits to beat the Yankees and improve to 4-2 with a 4.48 ERA.


R.A. Dickey, New York Mets
Dickey, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option , gave up two earned runs with seven Ks in six innings to improve to 5-0 with a 2.82 ERA.


Anthony Lerew, Kansas City Royals
Lerew got a no-decision despite giving up just two runs on three hits with seven Ks.
