Chris Heisey, Cincinnati Reds
Heisey went three for five with two runs, a HR, and two RBIs. He was the Reds leadoff hitter.


Johnny Cueto, Cincinnati Reds

Cueto threw a one-hit shutout with eight Ks to improve to 2-1. He lowered his ERA to 4.07 and his WHIP to 1.21.


Daisuke Matsuzaka, Boston Red Sox (pictured)
Dice-K gave up one run on three hits with nine Ks to beat the Jays and improve to 2-1 with a 6.35 ERA.


Randy Wells, Chicago Cubs
Wells took the loss, but pitched well enough. He gave up three runs on four hits with eight Ks in eight innings. He fell to 3-2 with a 4.57 ERA.


Freddy Garcia, Chicago White Sox
Freddy gave up two runs in seven innings to beat the Twins. He’s 2-2 with a 4.75 ERA.


Russell Branyan, Cleveland Indians
Branyan went three for five with two HRs and three RBIs .


Austin Kearns, Cleveland Indians
Kearns went two for four with three runs, and a RBI. He’s hitting .346 with 16 RBIs.


Jake Westbrook, Cleveland Indians
Westbrook gave up one run on five hits in six innings to improve to 1-2 with a 5.06 ERA.


Brett Myers, Houston Astros
Myers gave up two runs in six innings to improve to 2-2 with a 3.52 ERA.


Troy Glaus, Atlanta Braves
Glaus went two for five with a HR and three RBIs. He’s hitting .268 with 22 RBIs.

Eric Hinske, Atlanta Braves

Hinske went two for two with three RBIs to raise his average to .314.


John Ely, Los Angeles Dodgers
Ely gave up two runs with six Ks in six innings for his first career win. He’s 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 17 Ks in 18-2/3 IP.
