The MLB draft tends to get overlooked since most of the focus gets placed on its NFL and NBA counterparts. But just like those other drafts, it’s a monumental event for prospects. It’s the start of their journey toward the big leagues.

This year’s most coveted players include Stanford pitcher Mark Appel and five-tool high school outfielder Byron Buxton. Lucas Giolito, Kevin Gausman and Deven Marrero are among the other names that are expect to get called early.

Here’s a look at all the key information for the first round and its supplemental picks. The draft will last through Wednesday with a total of 40 rounds, down from 50 in previous years.
