Are you hurting in the RBI category? Here are some reasonably available players that can help you out.

Jose Bautista, 3B/OF, Toronto Blue Jays
The average is brutal (.222), but he’s still productive. He has 20 RBI, 17 runs, 6 HRs, and 3 SBs.  Having dual position eligibility is a bonus. Bautista is only owned in 27.7 percent of ESPN and 31 percent of CBS leagues.

David Freese, 3B, St. Louis Cardinals (pictured)
If people are still sleeping on Freese (roughly 62 percent ownership in ESPN and CBS leagues), go ahead and make a play on him. He’s hitting .360 with 19 RBI, 9 runs, 3 HRs, and a SB. He is riding a nine-game winning streak right now. He is hitting .486 during the streak with six multiple hit games.

Juan Uribe, 2B/3B/SS, San Francisco Giants
Uribe is hitting .280 with 18 RBI, 11 runs, 3 HRs, and a SB. He is eligible in three infield positions, which is great for your bench depth. He’s likely unavailable in ESPN leagues (78.7 percent ownership), but is owned in just half of the CBS leagues.

J.D. Drew, OF, Boston Red Sox
Drew had a mini five-game hitting streak snap last night, but still managed to score a run. He’s hitting just .250, but he has 17 RBI, 16 runs, and 5 HRs. Drew is owned in 50.5 percent of ESPN and 54 percent of CBS leagues.

Ryan Sweeney, OF, Oakland A’s
Sweeney also has 17 RBI. He’s hitting .291 with 15 runs and 1 HR. Sweeney is owned in 8.1 percent of ESPN and 16 percent of CBS leagues.

Kevin Kouzmanoff, 3B, Oakland A’s
Kouzmanoff always seems to be a forgotten man (19.1 percent ESPN and 32 percent CBS ownership). He is hitting .278 with 17 RBI, 2 HRs, and 14 runs. He’s had 84 and 88 RBI the last two years, and is on pace for 95 this year. Considering third base is so shallow, it’s surprising he’s so readily available.

Orlando Cabrera, SS, Cincinnati Reds
With the recent injuries to Rafael Furcal and Yunel Escobar, Cabrera becomes a more attractive option. He’s struggled with his average, but he’s up to .257. He adds 16 RBI, 11 runs, 3 HRs, and 3 SBs. Cabrera is owned in 24.8 percent of ESPN and 59 percent of CBS leagues.

Casey Blake, 3B, Los Angeles Dodgers
Blake is in an RBI drought (1 RBI in last eight games), but has 16 on the year. He’s hitting .264 with 7 runs and 3 HRs. Blake is owned in 26.9 percent of ESPN and 50 percent of CBS leagues. I’d probably just use him as a spot starter at this point on Mondays or Thursdays when there isn’t a full slate of games.

Chris Snyder, C, Arizona Diamondbacks
Snyder is a nice option simply because of his position. He has 16 RBI while hitting .269 with 10 runs, and 5 HRs. Snyder is owned in 23.1 percent of ESPN and 57 percent of CBS leagues.

Cliff Pennington, SS, Oakland A’s
Pennington is another nice option if your SS went down. He is hitting .263 with 16 RBI, 12 runs, 3 HRs, and 4 SBs. He’s 13 for 40 (.325) with 7 runs and 5 RBIs in his last ten games. Pennington is owned in 24.6 percent of ESPN and 48 percent of CBS leagues.
