As of June 19, the Mets are sitting at 39-28 and a half a game behind first place in the NL East.

Barring a typical late season collapse, the Mets are in good position to make some noise this season.  Guys are finally starting to get healthy and the usually horrendous pitching staff is sixth in the league in ERA and saves.

David Wright is currently tied for first in the NL in RBI and has 12 HR and a .288 batting average.  After a terrible start to the season, Jose Reyes leads the team in hits with 73.  He has also raised his BA to a respectable .272.

Pitcher Mike Pelfrey leads the team in wins with 9, ERA with an impressive 2.39, and strikeouts with 59.

The Mets are 24-10 at home, but only 15-18 on the road.  If they can improve that road record and maintain their great home records they can easily take over first place in the NL East.

It is still very early in the season, but as of now, things are looking good for the New York Mets.
