The Chicago Cubs rock.

Before Friday’s Cactus League contest against the Los Angeles Angels, shortstop Munenori Kawasaki took the mic and absolutely killed a rendition of Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”

The Cubs loved it and rocked out—while wearing Japanese headbands:

Ah, spring training.

Pirates Will Wear 1979 Throwback Uniforms During Sunday Games

The Pittsburgh Pirates are going back to their roots in 2016.

On Thursday, the team announced it would wear throwback uniforms from 1979 for Sunday games.

The pillbox hat features three stripes, the jersey is a pullover V-neck and the pants are “beltless” with gold lining.

Here’s Andrew McCutchen modeling the new look:

Back in 1979, the Pirates won the World Series. They haven’t won it since but are certainly hoping the new alternative uniforms will spark some throwback magic.

Giants SS Brandon Crawford Re-enacts Scene From His Days as a Young SF Fan

Many moons ago, San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford was a fan of the team.

On Thursday, the team shot a commercial that featured the 29-year-old standing in the same spot (albeit in AT&T Park rather than Candlestick)—and wearing the same outfit—as his five-year-old self.

The Giants posted another shot of the recreated scene on Instagram:

Hats off to both Crawford and the team for this offering. Nothing beats a good throwback.

Legendary WWE Broadcaster Jim Ross Says He Wants to Call Games for the Pirates

Everything is better with Jim Ross broadcasting it.

That includes baseball.

The legendary WWE announcer hosted a Twitter Q&A on Sunday, and one fan asked him about the possibility of calling games for the Pittsburgh Pirates:

Ross was all over it:

Can you imagine Ross calling a walk-off win or a huge play from Andrew McCutchen?

The only thing better would be Jerry Lawler yelling “Look out!” every time someone makes contact.

Wale Drops Bryce Harper-Themed Song Called ‘MVP’

It was about time someone made a song honoring Bryce Harper.

On Wednesday, rapper Wale did the honors. Always one to throw out sports references in his lyrics, the Washington, D.C., native included all types of baseball analogies in the three-minute song appropriately titled “MVP.”

The beat goes pretty hard, and Wale flows over it well. Here’s the chorus:

Got the streets talking, when I swing on me.

Do my thing all year. You know the season long as s–t.

Got the seats all filled. I’m the reason y’all here.

Errybody talking, feel like I’m Bryce Harper.

Stephen Strasburg, Dusty Baker, Scott Van Pelt and the late Stuart Scott all get name-dropped, too.

Take a listen below (Warning: NSFW lyrics):

Blue Jays Fans Start Site to Keep David Price in Toronto

Blue Jays fans want David Price to stay in Toronto—badly.

So, to their credit, they’re doing something about it.

Head over to “Any Price for David” if you want to see just how passionately Jays fans want the lefty ace back. Here’s how it works: “If David Price stays in Toronto, I, [insert name], agree to [do something].”

Some are lighthearted, of course. Orissa Fletcher will buy Price some Dairy Queen. Peter LePiane will name his next kid “Price.” Dovejot Parmar will dance like Cam Newton after every strikeout.

And some are weird, which you can investigate yourself.

After reading those, Price might move as far away from Canada as possible.

Blue Jays Fan Misunderstands Reporter, Loses Her Mind over ‘Free Tickets’

Communication is key—especially when it comes to free tickets that aren’t really free.

While getting interviewed by a reporter about her beloved Toronto Blue Jays, this fan misheard the question, “So you’re getting tickets for the next round?” as a definitive statement.

The thing is, though, she wasn’t getting any tickets. It’s a shame all that enthusiasm will have to go to waste.

She’ll likely be hoping for a Blue Jays comeback, as Toronto is facing a 3-2 ALCS deficit heading into Friday’s Game 6 at Kauffman Stadium against the Kansas City Royals.

Chicago Cubs’ Twitter Page Embarrasses Fan Who Asks for Kyle Schwarber Jersey

The Chicago Cubs‘ official Twitter account doesn’t mess around.

During the team’s Game 2 showdown with the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series on Sunday night, one fan took a shot in the dark and requested a Kyle Schwarber jersey:

This came after the fan had already hounded the team for a freebie. The Cubs offered some encouragement with a subtle response:

When the fan responded that he can’t direct-message the account, the Cubs dropped the hammer:

Boom. No chill indeed:
