While some ball boys/girls have trouble with slow grounders, there is no doubt this San Diego Padres ball girl can field her position.

In the bottom of the eighth inning of Sunday’s 5-3 Phillies win at Petco Park, Padres outfielder Matt Kemp smoked a line-drive foul down the left field line. Just as the liner was about to make its way into the stands, the ball girl made a nice leaping grab.

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Hector Neris fired the offering at 92 mph, and it left Kemp’s bat even faster. That didn’t stop the ball girl from doing her job, however.

She handled the play like a pro, giving the ball to a young Padres fan and then calmly acknowledging those who were applauding her.
