Texas Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish was in complete control of the Minnesota Twins through six innings Friday night, and this GIF of his filthy curveball in the fifth exemplifies it perfectly.
Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe saw an 80 mph slider and 94 mph fastball before Darvish threw this 61 mph curveball, which Plouffe started swinging at absurdly early.
Darvish had a no-hitter through six innings before eventually picking up the loss after giving up three runs in the seventh.
