The Pittsburgh Pirates are going back to their roots in 2016.

On Thursday, the team announced it would wear throwback uniforms from 1979 for Sunday games.

The pillbox hat features three stripes, the jersey is a pullover V-neck and the pants are “beltless” with gold lining.

Back in 1979, the Pirates won the World Series. They haven’t won it since but are certainly hoping the new alternative uniforms will spark some throwback magic.
