Here’s the beauty of Bleacher Report’s MLB Team of the Week: Big stars can and do make the cut (see: Harper, Bryce), but lesser-known names frequently slip in as well (see: Saltalamacchia, Jarrod). And of course, there’s always room for no-hitters (see: Arrieta, Jake).

Remember, this isn’t about career output or future projections. It’s about the guys who busted box scores over the past seven days, period.

In that span of time, almost anything can happen. It’s the wonder—and folly—of small samples.

To restate the ground rules: We’re taking one player per position, including a designated hitter and starting pitcher, based on what they accomplished between April 15 and April 21.

This is mostly about individual output, but bonus points are awarded if gaudy numbers translated to ticks in the win column.
