Sean Casey, aka “The Mayor,” shouldn’t expect to get MLB Network colleague Lauren Shehadi’s vote next election after what he did to her during a recent batting practice session.

Better Off Red’s Jamie Ramsey announced on Monday that Casey—a career .302 hitter—would be returning to Great American Ball Park this summer to play in the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game. As a way to prepare for the game, the former Cincinnati Reds star had Shehadi toss him batting practice at MLB Network’s Studio 42.

It turned out to be a painful experience for Shehadi.

Casey ended up smoking a line drive right off Shehadi’s head. Luckily, Shehadi was fine. The two were able to joke about the situation later on, but it sure was a frightening moment at the time.
