Many who think of free agents think of the same few big-name guys. Players like Prince Fielder, Albert Pujols, CJ Wilson and Carlos Beltran are all targets of multiple teams and will get huge contracts this offseason.
Unfortunately, there is a huge amount of teams hoping to add a big name to their roster next year. They will have to look elsewhere in free agency to complete their team.
There are several other talented options that have not received as much attention. Whether it is because of a down year or the environment they played in, these players may not have the statistics showing their potential for 2012.
Some players may be able to make a huge impact on a team at a major discount. These are the guys who do not have all the attention, but with the right team will have a major chance to absolutely explode next season.
