Javier Vazquez, New York Yankees

Vazquez gave up two runs on one hit with nine Ks over seven innings as he improved to 5-5 with a 5.63 ERA.

 

Jeff Francoeur, New York Mets

Francoeur went 2-for-4 with a HR (six) and three RBI. He’s hitting .268 with 33 RBI.

 

Drew Stubbs, Cincinnati Reds

Stubbs went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI (27). He has his average up to .241.

 

Austin Kearns and Jhonny Peralta, Cleveland Indians

Kearns went 3-for-4 with two runs to raise his average to .309. Peralta went 2-for-5 with a run and three RBI. He’s hitting .250 with 29 RBI.

 

Jack Cust, Oakland A’s (pictured)

Cust went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .295.

 

John Jaso, Tampa Bay Rays

Jaso went 3-for-5 with two runs, a HR, and five RBI. He’s hitting .307 with 24 RBI.

 

Manny Parra, Milwaukee Brewers

Parra gave up two runs in a 5.1-inning no-decision. He struck out 10.
