Carlos Ruiz, Philadelphia Phillies
Ruiz went 3 for 4 with an RBI to bring his average up to .314.

 

Lastings Milledge, Pittsburgh Pirates
Milledge went 2 for 3 with 4 RBIs. He’s hitting .240.

 

Brian Burres, Pittsburgh Pirates
Burres threw seven scoreless innings allowing three hits to beat the Cubs and improve to 2-1 with a 4.09 ERA.

 

Scott Olsen, Washington Nationals
Olsen got a no-decision, but pitched a strong game. He gave up two runs on two hits with 8 Ks in 7-1/3 innings. He lowered his ERA to 3.54. He was one of my streaming options for yesterday .

 

Jeremy Hermida, Boston Red Sox
Hermida went 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs. He’s hitting .250 with 16 RBIs on the year.

 

Nate Schierholtz, San Francisco Giants
Nate went 3 for 3 with two runs and a HR. He’s hitting .381.

 

Scott Podsednik, Kansas City Royals (pictured)
Pods went 2 for 4 with a HR, 4 RBIs, and 2 SBs. He’s hitting .340 with 14 RBIs and 11 SBs.

 

David Murphy & Justin Smoak, Texas Rangers
Murphy went 3 for 5 with a run and 2 RBIs. Smoak went 1 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBIs. Despite their solid games, both are hitting below .200.

 

Tony Abreu, Arizona Diamondbacks
Abreu went 4 for 4 with a run and an RBI. He’s hitting .372 on the year, but doesn’t get enough steady at bats to merit fantasy consideration.

 

Dana Eveland, Toronto Blue Jays
Eveland gave up two hits in seven scoreless innings to improve to 3-1 with a 3.82 ERA.

 

Brad Bergesen, Baltimore Orioles
Bergesen threw 6-2/3 scoreless innings to keep the Twins at bay. He improved to 2-2 and lowered his ERA to 7.36

 

Carl Pavano, Minnesota Twins
Pavano took the loss, but he went eight innings with 8 Ks giving up just two runs. His ERA stands at 3.43. He was also one of mystreaming options for yesterday .
