New York Yankees: 3 Often-Rumored Trades That Just Won’t Happen

The Yankees need pitching. Their rotation consists of ace C.C. Sabathia, Ivan Nova and then three question marks in A.J Burnett, Phil Hughes and Freddy Garcia.

The Yankees struck gold last year as they picked up both Garcia and Bartolo Colon as minor league signings and they ended up giving the Yankees a combined 311 innings with a 3.82 ERA.

Something like that won’t happen again this year, so the Yankees might have to look at the trade market. Some trades are realistic but others are not.

Bold Predictions for Albert Pujols and the Angels

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim made headlines this offseason signing prized free-agent starter C.J Wilson and long-time All-Star first baseman for the Cardinals, Albert Pujols.

Now some people, including myself, feel that the Angels overpaid for Pujol’s contract, a contract worth $254 million over 10 years. 

Pujols has been one of the best, if not the best, player in baseball since his debut in 2001, and there’s no doubting that this contract will help the Angels tremendously for at least the next five or six years.
