Each MLB team has one player that stands above the rest of the team. Their talent is obvious, as they put up consistently great numbers and are clutch in every sense of the word. They lead their team through bad streaks and good, and win numerous awards. Many of these players may be future Hall of Famers, while many are just producing in the prime of their career, but are soon to disappear later in their careers. Many debate the best pitchers in Major League Baseball. Some believe that wins are the most important stat (you’ll get more run support playing for the Rangers than the Mariners), while others believe ERA or WHIP are the most important stats in determining the best pitchers in the MLB.

I believe that many things go in account when deciding the great pitchers in the league. These include wins, strikeouts, ERA, WHIP and most importantly, providing your team with a great outing when they need it most.

2011 MLB Playoff Predictions: The 8 Teams Destined for October

Ahh, the sweet smell of April.

The only time of year where Indians and Mariners fans have the same amount of hope as Yankees and Phillies fans. That is because April is a time for a fresh start and a new beginning. One hundred and two years without a World Championship for the Cubs and 18 straight losing seasons for the Pirates mean nothing right now, because every team has a chance.

But right now, only one series through the season, I am predicting the 8 teams that I believe are postseason bound.

Some are obvious and some will surprise a lot of people.
